The Appearance of the Glory- with Rev. Obi Peters

Nov.27th 2016 - Sunday

Ist service: 7am Mark 9:1-7

Prayer: Father, make me a revelation of your glory; that any man that wants to see you will see your glory in me.

What is the glory?

It is a divine magnet; a divine attraction.

The man that lives in the glory is the man whose favour never ends.

So when men see you and the glory is questionable, you find them distancing themselves from you.

We serve a God who is connected or attached to Glories. Many have not come to understand what the glory is. We always talk about the glory as the express image of God; the appearance of God is the appearance of glory because the glory is the image of God. No man can see God without the Glory. The glory of God is the personality of God; God can only be seen through the picture of the glory. Until the glory affects your life, you haven’t started. The glory of God is transferrable. Anywhere the glory is shared, it is not lost.

The glory of God is not left with God alone; the good news is, if you are a man that serves God, you have a part of the glory. Anywhere the glory is present, shame is silenced. Anywhere you find the glory; you can never find shame and disappointment.

Declaration: I prophesy today, anywhere you appear, as men see you, what they will see is the glory of God in you.

God’s glory is your part in Him. What will make men see the identity of God in you is the power you posses. What makes you a child of God is the manifest presence of God.

Glory is not for everyone; the glory of God is for a few who are ready to climb to the mountain. It is for men who are ready to pay the price.

“And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power. And after six days Jesus taketh [with him] Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them. And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus. And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid. And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.”[(KJV) Mark 9:1- 7]

God laboured for six days and on the seventh day He put glory on man.

Jesus took Peter, James and John onto a high mountain; what it means is that for you to get the glory, you have to pay a price.

Why everyman will not have the glory is because it has a high price. Men who are living their lives outside God are men who are disqualified from the glory.

When you are led to where you will find the glory, that glory automatically turns you into a leader.

What gives you the glory is not your qualification but who leads you. The glory does not come on talkative; it does not come on men who do not know how to handle things.

When the glory comes your garment is dead; your flesh dies and your ideas are irrelevant, all that men will begin to see is a shining garment. The glory does not deal with what you are wearing. The glory is a cover for your weaknesses and shame. The glory talks about transforming you into a new being, taking off the old garment and putting on the new one.  When the glory comes on you, what men will begin to see is no longer your short comings but a shining garment. You cannot walk with God with your old garment; you walk with Him in a new appearance. You must leave your realm and go higher knowing your stand in the Lord.

When the glory comes; you don’t need the approval of any man.

When you provoke the glory, no matter the ugliness of your family, it cannot hinder the glory. If you are from the family where people dies, all you need to do is to walk up the mountain.

You must leave the realm of men and walk high. If you are walking casually like other men, what you will always have is a casualty.

The place of the glory is the best place that any man can ever be. Like Peter said; “…Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.” [Mark 9:5 KJV]

When Peter, James and John ascended, the glory came on them. For the glory to come, they must be ascension.

The glory makes you a puzzle; it makes you a question that men will try to answer.

It is only men that knows what they carry that can stand and face challenges. The glory is an attractor of boldness.

When Jesus came down from the mountain of glory, the first thing He met was a boy who had epilepsy.

You don’t matter when they know you all, you only matter when you are a carrier of glory; what men don’t understand. If a man meets any problem, go higher. No problem is stronger than your glory.

You don’t tell men that you carry glory; men will just see by the wonders you produce. The other nine disciples were trying to explain to them; but when Jesus came the epilepsy disappeared.

The Greek word for save, is “Sozo.” God sent Jesus to come and save, restore and to heal. The second thing is that He sent His son to edify- the Greek word for edify is to build a house, erect a building, to build (up from the foundation), to restore by building, to rebuild, repair. To edify means to build up. As an architect who builds, he understands the word edify.

Jesus came to tear down so that He can make us stronger and beautiful.

Until a man is sozo-ed for himself; he can never see the glory.

If you are a woman who God has blessed with beautiful curves and you use it to seduce men, you are diverting men’s attention to you and not God. That woman needs to be sozo-ed.

The glory does not come on men who are self inclined.

God’s plan is not to humiliate you. Nothing is more important to God than for us to follow the opinion of us. God’s plan for us is not to follow the opinion of men.

“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” [(KJV) Romans 8:29]

How to discover the real you:

  1. Humility: You must be humble.
  2. Die to self: until a man dies to self, he cannot live for God.
